welcome

We would like to personally welcome you to the Wellspring Church website. You will find full details about the church and its leaders on the site, and also a variety of resources which we hope you will find helpful. We hope that browsing the site will whet your appetite to come along to one of our meetings or events, where you will receive a warm and friendly welcome.

Wellspring Church was formed at Easter 2009 from the merger of two existing churches: Tiptoe Baptist Church and OK New Forest. We meet at the Jireh Centre in Tiptoe, the home of Tiptoe Baptist for over 100 years, where there happens to be both a well and a spring on the site!

In the natural world a Wellspring is a source of life-giving water — somewhere people come to drink and be refreshed. But a Wellspring also speaks of a source of spritual life and vitality — something Jesus referred to as "living water". We see Wellspring Church as somewhere people can be spiritually refreshed, connected with God, and experience His transforming power.

If, like us, you are not particularly religious, but you are interested in making a connection with God, then Wellspring could be for you. Have a look at the "What's on" page to find details of forthcoming meetings and events. We look forward to welcoming you personally to the Jireh Centre.

Jireh Centre Jireh chapel

The Jireh Centre in Tiptoe comprises the Chapel and the Jireh Hall, both of which have been recently modernised. The Jireh name reflects the long tradition of Christian worship on this site which was, in the past, known as "Mount Jireh".

Our aim is to develop the Jireh Centre as a modern centre of prayer, healing and spiritual life in the New Forest area, as well as a continuing resource for the local community. The chapel is being increasingly used as a prayer centre for the New Forest area (see New Forest House of Prayer), as well as the meeting place for Wellspring Church. You will find details of all meetings taking place in the Jireh Centre on the "What's on" page.

The chapel is a registered building for the carrying out of Christian marriages, with a qualified registrar based there. The Jireh Hall is also available for wedding receptions
