This month's Programme
Sunday Meetings at the Jireh CentreOn the 1st Sunday of each month:10.30am Wellspring Family CommunionThis is one service in the month that we encourage the whole of the Wellspring family to attend… an opportunity for us to come together for worship and the celebration of communion. Every member of the family, from the oldest grandparent to the youngest child, is welcomed at this service which is relaxed and informal in nature. Jesus did not instigate the practice of communion in a formal religious service, but in the context of celebrating the Passover feast with his disciples. He intended this to be a time for joyful celebration, and our communion service will reflect this. There will be time given to praise and worship, prayer, testimony and a Bible-based talk. Our style may appear informal but we aim to recapture the Christianity of the Bible by being open to spontaneous prayer, testimony and prophecy (people sharing what they believe God is saying to us today). We believe God heals today and specific opportunity will be provided to pray for the sick. There is normally NO evening service on the 1st Sunday of the month. On all other Sundays:6.00pm Fire!Sunday evenings at Wellspring follow a flexible and unstructured format in which our aim is to encounter the "Fire" of the Holy Spirit. We give time to worship God and to passionately pursue His power and His presence and we encourage testimony, prophecy and the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. There will often be a bible-based talk or exhortation, but the main focus of "Fire" is to encounter God, with the specific opportunity given for those who would like to receive prayer for healing or other needs. Young and old are all welcomed, and it is our experience that young children are able to enjoy and enter into our worship. Our Sunday evenings often end in a time of extended prayer ministry, but parents with children (or anyone else who may need to go earlier) are free to leave whenever they need to. |
